Easy Tiger Productions has optioned the television rights to Three Reasons for Revenge, the 2026 thriller by Perth-based author Dervla McTiernan. The studio secured the book after a keenly fought auction.

Shaun Grant, whose screen credits include Snowtown, True History of the Kelly Gang and The Narrow Road to the Deep North, will write the adaptation. Easy Tiger is led by Ian Collie and chief executive Rob Gibson, and its slate includes Colin From Accounts, The Twelve, Scrublands and Territory. No network or episode count has been announced.

The novel opened at number one on the Australian bestseller charts across all genres. In it, three mysterious gifts turn up at three houses in Melbourne, each one chosen to wreck the life of the person who receives it, and three apparently unrelated people are drawn together by old grievances.

McTiernan was born in Ireland and moved to Perth in 2008. Her seven novels have sold more than one million copies. Dan Conaway and Tom Ishizuka of Writers House represented her in the deal.
