Creative Australia has two literature opportunities on its books this month, one about to close and one newly open.

The Translation Fund for Literature closes on 10 November 2026. It supports international publishers translating works by living Australian authors, and Australian publishers translating works from other languages into English.

The Dal Stivens Literary Award opened on 23 October 2026. It is a biennial award for an author aged 30 or under, for a short story or an essay.

Applications for the agency's Visiting International Publishers Program 2027, which runs from 17 to 21 May 2027, also close on 10 November. Creative Australia lists both rounds as closing soon.

Creative Australia's Marten Bequest Travelling Scholarships for young artists also opened on 23 October, though the listing does not say which art forms are eligible.
