Byron Writers Festival will hold its 2027 festival from 20 to 22 August, following a sold-out event in 2026.

The festival says the 2027 edition will return to the centre of Byron Bay. Its website puts it this way: the festival will "return to the heart of town itself". It has not yet named the venue or site.

The festival is also selling Festival Friends memberships for its next membership year, which runs from 1 December 2026 to 31 December 2027. Memberships start at $60, and members can apply for the festival's annual Residential Mentorship. The website does not yet give application dates for the mentorship.

No program details or ticket dates for 2027 have been released. The festival is directing readers to its eNews and What's On pages for updates.
