NT Writers Festival heads to Alice Springs for 27 to 30 May 2027
The four-day festival, which alternates between Darwin and Alice Springs, returns to Mparntwe in 2027, with tickets on sale from 8 April.
The NT Writers Festival will be held in Mparntwe/Alice Springs from 27 to 30 May 2027, the NT Writers' Centre has announced on its festival page.
The four-day event is staged each year in outdoor locations and moves between Garramilla/Darwin and Mparntwe/Alice Springs. The 2026 edition took place in Darwin, so the 2027 festival marks its turn in Central Australia.
The organisers say the festival is built around respect, accessibility, illumination, creativity and diversity, and that it is becoming known nationally for giving a platform to First Nations writers and storytellers.
Tickets will go on sale from 8 April 2027. The festival page does not yet name a program, guests or an artistic director for the 2027 event.
