Hong Kong International Literary Festival sets 24 to 28 February 2027 dates
Program and ticket details for the five-day festival are still to come.
The Hong Kong International Literary Festival will return from 24 to 28 February 2027, with events at venues across the city.
The festival covers literary fiction, non-fiction and poetry in English, in English translation, and in Putonghua and Cantonese. Its formats include talks, panels, readings, book launches, signings and workshops. No authors, theme or venues have been named yet, and the festival says program and ticket details will follow.
The festival also runs the Young Readers Festival for schools. Its 2026 edition, held from 2 to 13 March, marked 15 years with an extended two-week schools program. It hosted 16,717 students from 67 schools across 200 events in English, Cantonese and Putonghua, with guests including Ben Clanton, Beatrice Alemagna and Thao Lam.
Australian and New Zealand publishers with authors touring Asia in early 2027 may want to note the dates, which fall shortly after the Taipei International Book Exhibition.
