Sydney Writers' Festival will run from 17 to 23 May 2027, with sessions at Carriageworks, Sydney Town Hall and other venues around the city.

Tickets for School Days 2027, the festival's program for primary and secondary students, are already on sale, with a line-up of authors for both age groups.

The festival is also recruiting for its internship program, which places early-career arts workers across several departments. Applications close at midnight on Sunday 15 November.

In September the festival also published seasonal reading lists through its website, including a spring list of what its team is reading and a Homegrown list of recommendations from Australian writers and poets.

The main 2027 program has not yet been released. Readers can sign up through the festival website for updates on the line-up and ticket sales.
